If you employ HGV or LGV professional drivers of lorries over 3.5 tonnes, or own a business connected with horses and provide transport for clients as part of this business’s commercial operations, then you need to ensure that your drivers have completed their required 35 hours of Driver CPC training BEFORE the impending deadline of 9th September 2014.
The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) will be strictly monitoring compliance of this new legislation. They have warned that any applicable professional driver who fails to undertake the legally required Driver CPC training by this deadline, will automatically be issued with a fixed penalty notice. That person will also be referred to the traffic commissioners who may suspend the drivers vocational licence entitlement and take action against his/her employer.
Therefore if your drivers have yet to complete the required Driver CPC training you need to ensure that this is carried out ASAP by contacting the team at ACE Trainers.
