There is currently no legal requirement to hold a licence in order to operate a forklift truck, however the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) strongly advise that to minimise the risks of accidents in the workplace that all those who drive a forklift truck as part of their employment, undertake a professional training course in safe forklift truck operation
ACE Trainers are accredited by both the HSE and RTITB to provide best practice training courses in the theoretical and practical knowledge required to safely and competently operate a forklift truck. They offer training courses for both novice and experienced forklift truck operatives and many glowing testimonials can be found on their website as testament to their excellent abilities as a first class training organisation: http://
ACE Trainers offer training in the safe operation of all makes and models of forklift trucks including Counterbalance, Reach, Telescopic Handlers, Bendi, VRN Aisle Truck, and the Multidirectional sideloader, Electric Pallet, and many more full details of which can be found on their website at: http://acetrainers.co.uk/
ACE provides training courses by both male and female instructors at either of their state of the art training facilities in Bristol or Basingstoke, or at your workplace. As long as you can provide a quiet area for the theoretical part of the course, and an outdoor area preferably with pallets and /or warehousing for the practical training, ACE Trainers are happy to provide training on site at your company premises.
Upon successful completion of their forklift truck driving training course all students will receive a RTITB photo ID certificate for an additional cost of £10.50 per person. However if you prefer, ACE can supply in-house certificates which will only allow operation of forklift trucks within your company.
